The historical exhibition "Margot and the Others - Forced Sterilization under National Socialism" focuses on the cruel practice of forced sterilization of people who did not fit into the racist, misanthropic system of the Nazi regime, and writes a local history of Wiesbaden that has received little attention to date - the story of the so-called Rhineland children who were sterilized on verbal orders in "Secret Reich Matters" simply because they looked different, because they had the "wrong" fathers, because they were not "German" enough. The exhibition places a special focus on writing the individual stories of the Wiesbaden children and at the same time shedding light on the topic of forced sterilization in Nazi injustice legislation. Last but not least, the exhibition project raises the question of what it means to live here and now and what responsibility we all bear for this "here" and "now".

The lives of women in the past, present and future are at the heart of the work of the culturally and historically oriented frauen museum wiesbaden. The award-winning, interdisciplinary frauen museum wiesbaden has been privately sponsored by the non-profit association Frauenwerkstatt Wiesbaden e.V. since its foundation in 1984 and is financially supported by the Cultural Office of the City of Wiesbaden. The museum develops and presents changing exhibitions on various themes on an area of 600 square meters. Contemporary art exhibitions provide insights into the creative world of female artists, female figures from all over the world and all eras show a comprehensive understanding of history and culture and inspiring female personalities are presented in theme-specific exhibitions.
