Mimis Plessas - Homage to the Greek composer, Internationales Theater - 2for1-Tickets
Mimis Plessas, born on October 12, 1924 in Athens, recently passed away there on October 5, 2024, just a week or so before his 100th birthday. He created a musical oeuvre that spanned generations and earned him worldwide recognition and admiration. His career began at a young age as a piano soloist and developed into a highly respected composer and conductor.
Mimis Plessas composed music for cinema and theater, jazz, opera and also wrote classical music. He has collaborated with many prestigious singers (Nana Mouschouri, Jenny Vanou, Yannis Poulopoulos, Stratos Dionysiou, Rena Koumioti and others). In his 70-year career, he has musically shaped the lives of three generations of Greeks. The tribute on December 1st will be performed by the newly founded Frankfurt Greek Music Ensemble "PATHOS" and will take the audience on a magical journey through the world of Mimis Plessas.
