Kreisstadt Dietzenbach

Marco Pleil is a man with his electric guitar from Rhine-Main. He sings German lyrics about madness and the world we (over)live in. Influenced by the indie rock of the eighties/nineties and Brit pop. Album debut in 2020 with "Die Spur des Kalenders", followed in 2021 with the vinyl single "Liebe Grüße/Jazz ist keine Option". The current second album is called "KEINE ZEIT". Pleil has played over 150 (solo) shows across Germany to date, including as support for The Wedding Present, Wayne Hussey (The Mission), Tito & Tarantula, Therapy? (acoustic tour 2016), Parquet Courts, Shonen Knife, Erdmöbel, Acht Eimer Hühnerherzen etc. ..." The musician sometimes comes out cracking, then again poppy. His greatest strength, however, are the lyrics made up of everyday observations and quirky ideas.
