Festive opera gala - at Eberbach Monastery - 2for1 tickets
A "Festive Opera Gala" with musical treasures, performed by international vocal soloists, orchestra and choir, awaits the audience in the amateur auditorium of the famous Eberbach Monastery. The varied concert program includes not only romantic arias and duets from world opera hits, but also the most beautiful festive melodies suitable for the Advent and Christmas season.
In addition to the famous "Hallelujah Chorus" from George Frideric Handel's oratorio "Messiah", visitors can look forward to a selection of festive opera arias, including the well-known aria of the Queen of the Night, Der Hölle Rache kocht in meinem Herzen, from Mozart's opera 'The Magic Flute', the yearning Song to the Moon by Rusalka from Antonín Dvorák's opera of the same name, Musetta's romantic waltz Quando me'n vo' from La Bohème by Giacomo Puccini and the highlight of every opera gala, Nessun dorma from Puccini's Turandot. Of course, there will also be some well-known Christmas carols at the end, inviting you to sing along.
The Opera Classica orchestra and choir will be joined by outstanding international soloists such as sopranos Elena Patsalidou and Katrina Taynara, alto Lucy Williams, tenor Marco Antonio Rivera and one or two surprise guests. The talented young singer Nora van Eck will also be performing a solo on this evening. The popular Rheingau artist Ulrike Neradt will enrich the evening with a short Christmas story.
Please note that due to the existing pillars in the Laiendormitorium, all seats have a partially restricted view of the stage. However, the organizer will make every effort to compensate for this by changing the positioning of the soloists.
