"Wake up, Maja!" With a loud crack, the honeycomb in which Maja has been slumbering blissfully opens. She rubs her eyes in amazement and hops out into the world in high spirits. However, the seriousness of life soon catches up with her. Little Maya is destined to become a hard-working bee. But first the bee school bench awaits: she learns the names of all the flowers that provide the nectar for the honey and finds out which enemies she has to watch out for. Oh dear, so much work! Maja can't quite get to grips with her new role. After all, it's much more exciting to discover the world instead of going on a laborious search for nectar. Maja spontaneously decides to turn her back on work. She flies as high as she can. Only far away. An adventurous journey begins that takes Maja to previously unknown worlds...

The change of perspective that takes place on stage will be exciting for the young audience. Through the eyes of a small insect, children look at oversized flowers and grasses. In addition to the melodies of world-famous composers such as Edvard Grieg and Peer Gynt, the spoken-word piece devised by Hans-Dieter Maienschein promises a colorful theatrical experience for young and old.
