1785: It won't be long before there is a revolution. The Count of Silleranges keeps up all the facades. A useless ruler of miserable estates. An irascible loser at cards on freezing winter evenings in the far too high halls of his castle. An impotent husband who lets his own brother satisfy his wife Elisabeth. And every morning he finds one of his dogs beaten to death in the park. Pierre, a half-brother, the bastard, appears overnight. The ice-cold angel who ruthlessly moves into the seclusion behind thick walls and the conspiratorial community of bored, tired people. The countess falls for the evil angel and finds herself through his body, through her devotion to him. This is the end of the Messieurs' system. The disintegration of the absolutist order - the arrival of romance: the bleating of the lambs. One morning, Pierre is found dead - beaten to death like the dogs at Silleranges.
The murderer is always the shepherd.
1785 is a short time after 2024 - the high-security wings are cracking.
