The Miser - Comedy after Molière at the Burgfestspiele Eppstein - 2for1 Tickets
The Eppstein Castle Festival has been taking place since 1913, making it one of the oldest open-air theater venues in the Rhine-Main region:

Molière's character study "The Miser" shows a hard-hearted miser and cruel family man who loves his money more than anything else. From an economic point of view, avarice (as well as the related greed) does have something sensible about it. And reassuring: "If the world betrays you, if the children hate you, / You can rely on your ducade!" Whether the miser is also happy remains to be seen. In times so mercilessly dominated by the money business, "The Miser" is the play of the hour! In a Hessian version by Rainer Dachselt, performed by the Barock am Main Ensemble with Michael Quast.
