Dance into May at the Bogside Pub - Irish Pub in Offenbach's Nordend - One free drink
Céad mile fáilte is Gaelic and means "welcome a thousand times over"! The Celtic-German friendship association "the bogside e.V." celebrates into May with live music from the Hairy Tongues as well as whisky, Guinness and Kilkenny.
Opened in 1999 as a meeting place for fans of the island of Ireland and its music, the Bogside Irish Public House was about to close after two changes of tenant. Some loyal regulars did not want to accept the impending loss of their pub and quickly founded an association in 2008 to maintain the Bogside with a great deal of commitment and money. It is thanks to them that, in addition to bar service four days a week, there are now regular events such as whisk(e)y tastings, Irish breakfasts, quiz and karaoke evenings, nostalgic vinyl nights and celebrations for St. Patrick's Day and Halloween. The bogside Irish Pub is regularly open Wednesdays to Saturdays from 7pm to midnight by members of the association.
