The four Berliners have by no means lost their youthful charm. They quickly became audience favorites - and were crowned with awards such as victory at the Concours de Genève - and have firmly established themselves on the music scene. The musicians play all the works from memory, a gain in inner freedom and penetration of the music. The Ensemble Vision String, which sees itself as a band, performs both classical concert series, in which traditional repertoire is played purely acoustically, and an hour later they connect the cables to their instruments and rock the stage with jazz and pop. It's not a crossover, the styles are not mixed together. It is the fascination of juxtaposition, at the very highest level. Discovering and playing new venues is one of the favorite tasks of these energetic musicians. In Mainz, the Vision String Quartet will perform the highly romantic first string quartet by Johannes Brahms. Half an hour of excitingly beautiful music from the 19th century. After the break, they will play a large set from their successful album SPECTRUM, in which minimal music meets folk tunes, and ballads meet rock music and jazz.
