Vocal Music from Africa to America (Spiritual to Jazz) - The Afro-American mezzo-soprano Gail Gilmore from the USA documents a musical and lyrical journey through time from Africa to America, from spirituals to gospel to jazz. She herself calls it a "musical documentation of slavery". The singer will be accompanied on the piano by Professor Jan Lenselink from Amsterdam.

The opera, jazz and concert singer became famous through Gail Gilmore's interpretation of Kundry in Richard Wagner's opera Parsifal. She has also sung alongside José Carreras in the Verona Arena, at the Metropolitan Opera in New York and at all the world's major opera houses.
