Saxophonist and composer Tineke Postma is one of the most prolific and respected musicians on the vibrant Dutch scene. With a catalog of six albums, her international reputation has led to her being named "Rising Star on Soprano" in the 2019 Downbeat Critics Poll and performing alongside greats like Herbie Hancock at International Jazz Day. She is a musician full of invention and creativity who is not afraid to explore the unknown - inspired by the master Wayne Shorter, who once told her before a joint performance on stage: "Let's start composing!"

Her album "Freya", released in March 2020, marked a fresh start with a new label, refreshed energy and an exciting band, with an output that is altogether inspired by the experiences she has gained throughout her career. For her latest album 'Aria' (2023 on Edition Records), Postma has assembled a new band, featuring highly acclaimed guitarist David Doružka, bassist Robert Landfermann and drummer Tristan Renfrow. This exciting group embarks on an adventurous journey, exploring new areas and diverse ways of interpreting her work.
