Anke Sevenich became famous in the early nineties with the role of "Schnüsschen" in the film epic "Die zweite Heimat" by Edgar Reitz. This was followed by countless roles on the theater stage and in feature films or television productions, especially TV crime series such as Tatort, Wilsberg or Polizeiruf 110, and she is now also known to a wider audience as a screenwriter and filmmaker.

In conversation with journalist Regina Heidecke, Sevenich, who grew up in Langen, talks about her life, her career and the challenges of the acting profession. In the second part of the evening, Anke Sevenich will read from the famous novel "The Year of Magical Thinking" by American author Joan Didion. This is a book about love and death, about the limits of wisdom and existential irrationality, by turns humorous, magical and always deeply moving.
