Theater am Park

As soon as you run into the first wall of "dominoes" in the supermarket and the constant sound of "Jingle Bells" gives you tinnitus, i.e. right after the summer vacations, you're in Christmas mode. What follows is the "contemplative" time, filled with Secret Santa presents from the little horror store and visits to the Christmas markets, where you drink so much mulled wine until you find things made of felt beautiful. Then there's the Christmas party at work, which is an unloved compulsory program until the first person sits down on the photocopier with a bare bottom.

Cabaret artist Sia Korthaus is not a Christmas hater, on the contrary. She loves Christmas and satirically and amusingly shows the big and small obstacles that have to be overcome before the long-awaited holidays arrive.
On the festive day itself, a family reunion with relatives you couldn't have chosen awaits you, along with toddlers buried under mountains of presents and a half-dried Christmas tree whose trampled needles leave a romantic pattern in the real wood parquet.
