How is sparkling wine actually made? Anyone who has always wanted to know can take a guided tour of the winery and learn the secrets of production: From the historic marble hall to 7 floors deep in the wine cellars, where the 200,000 liter cuvée barrels are located, visitors are given a comprehensive overview, always accompanied by a refreshing glass of sparkling wine.
On the Experience Tour, you will get to know Henkell Freixenet, one of the most important sparkling wine cellars in the world, from the ground up and gain a comprehensive insight into the company and its product diversity. The experience tour starts in the impressive marble hall of the Wiesbaden headquarters. Here, not only is the historical background of Henkell Freixenet presented, but initial insights into production and the product range are also given. Tour participants learn everything about the production of sparkling wine - from the cuvée to the dosage, disgorging and traditional bottle fermentation. If you have always wanted to find out more about sparkling wine production, sparkling wine production and sparkling wine bottling, the experience tour in the seven-storey deep cellar is just the thing for you. The modern sparkling wine factory, where the craft of traditional bottle fermentation is demonstrated up close, is also at home here. The tour ends with a visit to the Henkell Freixenet flagship store, where you can shop to your heart's content (Sundays excluded).
