Maison Slilou pop-up store - handmade products from Frankfurt & Morocco - 20% discount on your purchase
"Slilou is a dessert and one of my absolute favorite dishes in Morocco," says Nadia Doukali. Together with her sons Malik and Linus, she runs the Maison Slilou label, which opened a small pop-up store in Braubachstraße in December (probably until March). Doukali started a few years ago with various stuffed dates, chocolate and Ramadan calendars.
Over the years, the product range has expanded to include cosmetics, clothing, accessories and interior items. "There's everything that's fun, tastes delicious and has quality," she explains. The clothes are designed by Malik, some of the art comes from Nadia. "When we take on new products, we sit down together and think about what could be cool, what suits us, and then an idea develops from there," she says.
Many of the items are one-offs. T-shirts are made directly in Frankfurt, leather items such as bags and the bestseller Baboush, i.e. slippers, come from Morocco. Art and photography, gingerbread hearts with the words "Chill Habibi" and "Stabiler Alman" on them and natural cosmetics from Morocco complete the range. "They are all honest and traceable products, lots of art and unique pieces," she emphasizes.
