It is more than 45 years since the first line of "Sultans Of Swing" was first broadcast around the world. Mark Knopfler, the great guitarist and songwriter, created a musical universe of his own: the music of Dire Straits. Now more than 30 years have passed since Dire Straits disbanded, leaving behind a catalog of some of the best compositions and musical performances that the heyday of rock ever produced.

Over the past decade, former Dire Straits member Chris White and singer/guitarist Terence Reis have carried the torch with The Dire Straits Experience. The band's audience and reputation have grown beyond all expectations and the band is known and loved worldwide for their incomparable and compelling concerts.

For their philosophy is simple, as Chris expresses it. "It has to sound and feel as exciting and dynamic now as it did when I was on tour with Mark and Dire Straits - or it's not worth it!" And White and Reis, along with five other world-class musicians, are doing just that on the current "Shiver in the Dark" tour!
