MainSlam eV

Poetry slam is a literary performance competition in which authors present their self-written texts within a time limit. Only self-written works and their staging are permitted; props, disguises or singing are not permitted.

MainSlam e.V. has been organizing "Best of Poetry Slam" at Saalbau Bornheim since 2015 and it is the largest regular event of this cultural format in Hesse. Four times a year, the best slam poets compete against each other. They are the state and national champions, culture, literature and cabaret prize winners and published authors, they travel the country with their solo shows and tour the world as representatives of the German literary scene. Over several rounds and finals, the audience decides who wins the competition of the best by means of applause or scoreboards
