"Rivers and streams are freed from the ice!" Goethe's immortal classic "Faust" is performed by the Dramatische Bühne ensemble as a medieval mystery play under skyscrapers at the original locations: A walk is taken from Goethe's house to the banks of the Main, the devil's pact takes place on the Römerberg, Gretchen despairs in front of the cathedral and the witches' kitchen is located on the banks of the Main. A modern fairy tale of confused longing and frozen dreams.

Doctor Faustus, who has pledged his soul to the devil at the price of knowledge, makes his way through the entire circle of the earth, from the deepest pit of hell up to the stars, through all the abysses of human passions, until he finally believes he can satisfy his longing in the child of the gods, Gretchen. But even out of his deepest love, only the evil demon Mephisto laughs at him, not forgetting to collect his price.

Part medieval, highly shocking mystery play about the poor sinner Doctor Fausten and part drama about the fate of modern man, who seeks his way to happiness between God and the devil.
