On the Day of the Orchard Meadow 2025, the orchard meadow hike with organic snacks will take place at the Steinberg fruit farm. Orchard meadows are among the most species-rich habitats in Central Europe. They are home to a veritable treasure trove of diverse animal and plant species, as well as many historical fruit varieties for cider production. The event starts with a welcome drink. Then the hike begins with a glass in hand through the rustic apple orchard from the early days and the orchards. This is where the bee colonies of our friends at the Kramer organic apiary are located and the honey is tasted. The third and final stop is the meadow in Diebweg, which goes back to Andreas Schneider's great-grandfather. After the walk through the budding nature, there is an organic snack in the Schoppenwirtschaft.

The price includes a glass of house wine or apple juice as a welcome drink and two drinks each (cider, cider or apple juice) as well as honey during the hike. The organic snack includes: 1 bratwurst (mixed pork/beef sausage) or 2 vegan organic cevapcici with homemade potato salad or 1 large hand cheese, bread and butter. Served with 1 glass of house wine, apple juice or water. Subject to change without notice!

Punctual arrival is requested. Please wear sturdy shoes and clothing suitable for the weather. The events take place in all weathers; if the weather is too bad, the moderated tasting will take place indoors. The walk is not barrier-free and takes around 1.5 hours.
